I just got a call from Boogers Mom down in Baja....The whole DA but me is down there prerunning.....I'm home sick......
Anyways......Pab and the team were assisting in setting up a life flight for a downed MX rider (he was not a part of the DA team) when they were alerted to a really bad accident involving a quad out on Diablo.. Pab put the Medics in the 4 seater and headed out to help.....When they got to the young man he was deceased.......I can't tell you how saddened I am by this. I REALLY want all my familia to have a great time and to come home safely...... Please be careful down there.......Life is so much more fragile than we can ever imagine. PS. I don't know anymore info than what I have shared except that the quad rider was an American.

Always be careful down there. The day before the 2006 500 I was riding a quad outbound on the riverbed into the last turn when a guy came around the corner on a bike the wrong way. Fortunately for me, he panicked and went over the bars in front of me. I ended up running over his head and he died the next morning. I say fortunate because we were going to hit head and the impact would of killed both of us. It was a a very hard thing to get over but I was not at fault. Luckily there were a lot of witnesses so the police did not arrest me. Be careful and always assume that someone is around that corner!

Wow that's terrible to have to go through that Robert.
I have been told that I need to fix my first post......the WHOLE DA but me is NOT down there. Jamie Campbell and Jeff Laubshure are both hard at work back at the shop. Trey P. is helping them out. Pat Daily is here in the states working hard too.........I'm running parts........Just got back from Elsinore..........I probably left out a few more people who will text me and tell my I'm a nimrod........ The bigger issue is to be cautious and wise down there.......... Besides all I really care about is me and I'm not down there! BOO YAA!!!!!!!!!! kidding.....but you already knew that........When the heck do you have time to get on RDC anyways, GET BACK TO WORK........HA!

This is the part of our sport I really hate.
Please, please, please dial it back guys! 60% MAX, you'll get there a couple minutes later and it's supposed to be fun. There are people out there doing the unexpected and the consequences are lifelone. Props to everyone who jumped in to help out.
