She should ask, "If I were to ask you both a question, which road should I take?"

The truth teller would point to the correct road, as would the liar.

The trick is to ask a question where the response will be the same from both natives: a question that incorporates how a member of the tribe not answering would respond to the same question.

For example, what if we say to one of the natives, "If I asked a member of the tribe you don't belong to which road I should take to get to the castle, what would he say?"

1. If we ask a truthteller, the response will be: "He would say to take the north road." The road to the castle is the south road so the liar will tell us to take the north road, and the truthteller will faithfully report this to us.

2. If we ask a liar, the response will be: "He would say to take the north road." The road to the castle is the south road and the truthteller will tell us to take the south road, but the liar will not report this faithfully to us - he will say the opposite.

In both cases we'll get the same response. We should do the opposite of what we have been told because, regardless of whether we are speaking to a liar or a truthteller, our question will always produce the wrong answer to which road we should take.

Off the top of my head. But remember, if one does not like the answer do not ask the question.

So, What do I think Obama has done that I do NOT have an issue with:

1. Though I was against the bailouts (Bush and Obama's), Obama capping the pay and bonuses I do not have an issue with. The companies are getting federal taxpayer dollars, the money comes with strings.

2. The cash for clunkers. Could have been better managed, cars should not have been scrapped, but overall I did not have an issue with it.

3. I did not have an issue with Obama going to promote the Olympics in the US personally as did the other heads of state of competing countries.

4. Reversing the the "Mexico City policy".

5. Listing the names of White House vistors and visitor logs.

6. Obama's speech to the school kids.

7. Paying honor to returning war dead recently and visiting with each of the families.

--

What do I think Obama has done that I DO have an issue with:

1. Should not have gotten involved with the black professor and white cop incident.

2. Continuing the bailout stimulus bandwagon

3. Present health care bill, to long and to complicated.

4. New hate crimes bill, I am against the hate crimes law. There should be no hate crimes law. Get rid, repeal the hate crimes law.

5. The administration blocking domestic drilling.

The clunker programm was a joke. Everyone who purchased these vehicles spent way more than they should have. Not only that, the tax liability on those purchases. It was an artificial boost to the dealerships, but in that same time the service end of it fell. So it was not a benefit to the dealerships, just more money going to the bailed out GM and Chrysler. I have to laugh that Toyota and Honda were the big winners in this whole deal. It just means that in 6 months to a year when these vehicles start needing service and repairs, thats when I will start seeing the stimulus. By the way, how do you feel about spending your hard earned money to give to people to buy new cars. I know that I work 60-70 hours a week, when there are people who have been on welfare for years, not just the past 8-9 months that are living off of me. I hate sponges. So far with the Obummer administration I have not seen any positive change. I think the new govenor of VA said it best "There is a political uprising in America that is sending a message to the current administration"
