I'm looking for pics of 4wd a-arm trucks, similar to the Herbst truck or Dondels. I heard that the McMillins are having a 4wd prerunner built, I'm not sure. Just something I heard. Thanks in advance.

The mcmillin truck was built by Stewarts Raceworks. We shot the vehicle and have a full feature on it ready to go for skunks, it will be up in a couple of days.

I second that. The pricing is modest, as well.

Ray made us one 6 years ago for our AG sand dragster.

I know Moser made such stub axles for a guy in Colorado.
Another thot would be to have someone like Moser or Summer Bors. etc. make doubly splined shafts. Inner spline fit the side gear while the outer spline fits one of the already available CV flanges made for transaxles.

So what are they doing for stub axle retention? Letting them float?

Wouldn't they be retained just like normal axleshafts? I imagine they still use regular bearings and housing ends.

That is exactly what they do. They are just like little 35 spline axle shafts with no stud holes in the faces. Then we machined them for 930 CVs. Costs about 600 for the housing, bearings, flange plates and axles.

You can see the retainer plate on the housing behind the CV flange.

You know what I am probably going to use?
A ford 8.8" IRS rear differential case from a IRS Mark V, T bird or stang....
Just run reverse cut ring and pinions from a ford IFS 8.8 fitment...
Shown as Rx7 rear swap..

Then have ford IRS splines mounted to 930s when I have my CV axles made....
Maybe by raxles.com
