The brake disk and caliper is bigger so i dont think will fit, why you want 15"?

well, because i can get a set of used 15 inch rims, way cheap...it's getting tires in the next week or so, and i wanted to do it all at once...

elmer, the 15's are a no-go. they will hit on about everything, lower b/j bolt, caliper and upper a-arm.

gott run at least 16's. why not a set of dub's??? lol

matt, are ya positive? i finally found a few chevy forums with good info, and they all said they would fit...various guys runnin' em on the sites...

my buddy's 93 2wd chevy got totalled, so he just got the 97 z71...it needs tires bad, and he wanted to do rims at the same time..and he found a used set of 15x7's cheap...

are z71's different than regular 4x4's? i was parked next to a lifted one at lunch today, and it had 35x12.50r15s on it...one of the chevy forums i found said the only differences from a z71 to a regular 4x4 was skidplates, shocks, and stickers...

well, if all your chevy forum guys say they will fit, why you asking it here?? lol

with 16's theres is only about a 1/2" of clearance at best at a few points like the lower B/J bolt and caliper. maybe they will fit but it would be c-hair close if you know what i mean.

the only way i could maybe see it working is if the wheel has a different offset, which would pull the wheel out more away from the B/J bolt and such. but a 15" wheel with the same back spacing as stock......no way.

and yes, the only differences between a Z71 and a regular 4x4 is shocks, skid plates, decals, and "heavy duty jounce bumpers" lol.....bumpstops.

My understanding on this is you can fit them but you can't have more then 4" of BS, 3.5 would be best and a 15x8 or x7 is the most recommended. If you run a 15x10 I ahve been told that vibrations at high speed may occur. Off-Road.com has a chevy forum that covers this info on most all makes quite well. Best of luck. - Josh

i posted it here cuz it took me a while to find any good info on the chevy forums...i read thru question after question about pro comp vs. skyjacker lifts http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/laugh.gif and rancho vs pro comp shocks http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/grin.gif, but couldn't find anything on rims....

so all this still leaves me at a maybe....
