My uncle has a buggy with a 1986 13B rotory motor in it and is having problems with the jetting. He is running a 48IDA Weber Carberator, which is what he has been told to run, but what jetting do you guys recomend? He uses it mostly to just run around Baja a little bit and out in the dunes.

how does he like the power? I was thinking of doing the same thing for my buggy, n/a 13b with carb conversion.

I run a 13B in my car and do very well with it, the carburation issue take it to a guy that knows webbers they have an off idle stumble that is tricky to cure.
I run a stock 4 barrel carb that is modified and jetted to the max.
You can't buy cheaper more reliable power.
10 000rpm all day.

BAck when I was working in road racing the cheap carb set-up on a rotary was a Holley 390 CFM 4bbl. Not sure what, if any, inside tricks were needed.

Second finding a guy with hands-on knowledge of tuning Webers. One of the best is Dave Evans of EvanSpeed in the greater Pasadena area. He tunes with a 3 gas analyzer on a chassis dyno that is portable.
