Instead of starting new threads daily asking what is the best, why not do research, there are over four years worth of knowledge and info on this site. Also check out DezertRangers.com for more prerunner type information.

Kartek sells "their" PRP fairly cheap, but after spending many race miles in mastercraft seats I would recommend buying the more expensive ones. Your butt will thank you in the long run

People always want the "best" for "cheap" - it ain't possible. If you buy a cheap seat you won't get the best... if you want the best, it won't be cheap.

I have the Beard ultra seats and highly recommend them for full race truck or serious pre runner, due to the high sides on them. If your going to just put seats in a daily driver/ mild pre runner I would go with the Beard super seats. Thats just my opinion

I agree with what everyone here has to say about cheap seat's. One another not that no one hase mentioned is your back!!! If you get cheap seats your back will suffer along with your kidneys and everything else. Just save up the extra money and go for the best OFF ROAD suspension seat you can get. Beard, Mastercraft etc, your body will thank you later. - Josh

I definately agree on the back issue, we've raced in nothing but Beards although the Mastercrafts look tempting....Your seat is a safety device that shouldn't be skimped on, back problems are usually for life and the couple of hundred extra is not a gamble worth taking.....Curt

The PRP seats are nice for the price. Mine (standard lowback) work perfectly fine in the "prerunner". I have had low and highback, beards and PRP's all of which were nice. I used to have beard ultras and LOVED those things though. I was pretty disappointed when I sat in the PRP/kartek version called the "competition pro". Just not the same as the beard ultra it looks like.
I did make a huge mistake recent;y though, and that was sitting in a mastercraft seat at kartek while figuring out seats for the truck. I never understood why people loved them so much, but after sitting in one I think that's what I'm going with. Now I am trying to justify the $300 a seat price... The mastercrafts and beard ultras are a very close tie for 1st in my book, though they are kinda spendy.

Mastercraft i what i would go with if you have the money, it is well worth it. but if not use the beard seats instead, the work good in prerunners and race cars for most people. its not as expensive neither but i still say mastercraft
