That is really cool! One day when I get my shop expanded I am going to build my 75 short bed Chevy 4x4 in to a prerunner/chaser that will cover ground fast. I have already decided to keep a full usable bed, so I made my mind up to go with a under the bed cantilevered shock set-up, but I was thinking of mounting the shocks for and aft next to the driveline. I don't know if this is a better idea, but it looks interesting and it might take up less space.
Thanks,
Josh

Any chance you could post some shots of the setup from directly below the axle/cantilever setup?
Very cool!

I'll see what I can do this weekend about the pic from underneath. I assume you want to see the other side of the rack?
For those interested this system was designed by John Johnson (obviously) and fabbed in by Craig Stewart. From what Craig told me there was only a few of these created and mine may be the only one still in use. True vintage stuff here!

Wanted to see if the shocks connected to the framerails, and how the cantilever connected, if it did, above the axle. I'm just all curious about the layout!
Thanks!

The other rack looks identical to the one you can see, mounted in mirror. Only the white portion of the rack is attached to the rails. You can see the other side pivot point just to the right of the JJ sticker.
