I have been lurking around here for quite a while, and have done endless searches on various tech subjects. For 30 years my primary motorsports passion has been Motocross, but I have always had an interest in off road vehicles in general, and the desert racers in particular. I even built a '67 Baja bug way back around '75. It was laughable by today's standards, but I sure had fun with it, even with it's limitations. Now after many serious Motocross injuries, I am trying to see if I can transition over to the desert world on four wheels. I am a DIY kind of guy, and hope to build a desert vehicle(s) that will be as great as my imagination, designing, engineering, fabricating, and gearhead ability will allow.
