Hey guys, I came across an 86 toyota and thought MDR race truck project, then I came across a more race-able project. Now coming from an NHRA background i came up with an idea for the other truck and I need some help. I was wondering if anybody knew of a place to get some good V-8 conversion motor mounts for a 2WD yota. I am lookin to put a mildly built 350 in it.. maybe around 320-375 HP, so they dont have to be crazy mounts, just pretty good.

Oh yeah, and if anybody knows of this stuff, I will also need to find some headers that will clear inside toyota frame rails and and still get around a th-350 trans.

i think downey has that stuff, or any decent fab shop should be able to make a set out of a bushing and sleeve

Talk to Devin who is redline on here. His boss has a ex-cab yota with a small block in it. He would be able to help you out.

Advanced Adapters - (805) 238-0623 That's what they do, engine conversions for just about everything.

Tumble is right, Advance Adapters has the stuff. When I put a 383 chevy in my 76 landcruiser, they had everything, and it all bolted right up with minimal effort. Plan on building a tunnel, and cutting back the firewall just to start.

I noticed you mentioned a th350. I would start with a turbo 400, and maybe if you can get one cheap enough through TCI, a 4L80E. TCI makes a stand alone kit for the 4L80E. If the 350 you build has over 300hp, stick with the better trans.
