so im finally gettin onto this board, everyone here has helped answer my questions for so long and i don't even know why i didn't do this sooner, oh well im 22, a mech. engineering major at cal poly pomona, built a beautiful 92 ranger, drove it for years, wrecked it in the dez about a year ago and miss it every day. so i built a rock crawler suzuki samurai because i was thinking i need a little slower sport so i don't kill myself but i can't stay away from the desert, im building a sleeper explorer/daily driver/tow my crawler right now. i like sleepers on the street but no one really builds them for the desert, this is not going to have any glass, won't be really loud, will have little TT style front bumper but no big bad prerunner bumper, coilovers that i will try my best to keep hidden, and lots of good fab work planned that you will only be able to see from inside the cab or if you crawl underneath or under the hood. i just want it to look mellow then spank a lot of the trucks out there. Thats my plan anyway. like i said im just getting started and this will be my second desert truck so i have a little better idea what im doing, and a lot more fab and CAD experience. i also ride a YZ 250 but it siezed so it will be down for a while.

Ah, another fine engineering student at Cal Poly. Brings back some memories that are not far enough away. Good luck, Dude...How do you like those Dr. Anderson tests so far...HA! And if you haven't gotten to Dr. D's class yet, "the D stands for the grade you're going to get in his class" <quoted from Dr. A>. Anyway, welcome and good luck with the building.

sorry to hear about the spanish problem, i didnt' have any 4.6 or anything i wouldn't have thought the spanish would be such a big problem, cal poly seems to really cater to other languages a lot, i had this math class and this korean preofessor, and all the korean studens would take him and i just ended up in his class because i didn't know any better, anyways towards the middle of the students he decides that since so many of his students speak korean that he would just start taking, and answering questions in korean and i was pissed so i went into the math department to complain and they said they'd tell him to lecture in english but they were looking at me like "whats the big deal, so you'll learn some math and some korean"
