Hi my name is Troy Robinson, I've been around off-road racing my entire life (34 1/2 years now) in all aspects: promoting, organizing, racing (driving and codriving), crewing, pre-running, spectating, photography, journalism, fabrication--you name it, i've done it. I currently drive a Total Chaos fitted Toyota 4Runner and have a top notch street legal class 5 baja bug (currently for sale in the classifieds). Being a LocosMocos.com crew I know about race-dezert.com and check here everyday for the latest. Out of everything I've done in my life nothing has been as hard as getting to be able to post on here. Not bashing, I guess it's just my computer skills.

Hello! I think I'm doing this backward because I signed up a few weeks ago and just learned about this place to introduce myself- please accept my apologies!
Anyhow- I am Meybel (May-Bell) but you can call me Mey. 24 yr. old Latina, short 5'3/4"... that's where LBGIrl comes from: Little Brown Girl- silly I know!
I have a Black Beauty: 1999 Toyota Tacoma, 2wd and it's nice and loud! VRRRM! I would tell you more details but I'm honestly not sure- so I'll get back to you on that one!
I am a newbie to the desert racing world. Introduced to it a couple of years ago through my X-boy and loved it! But haven't had a chance to go out to it unless my friends invite/take me. But that's a reason why I got a truck! I never ever thought about getting one until I discovered the desert!
I am a Human Resource Administrator and hope to one day become a HR Director (yayy!), I LOVE to dance just about to any kind of music as long as I can either A. dance to it or B. Learn it! I do lean towards Salsa more than anything though- I love it, the flavor just runs through my veins I guess! *giggle*
Oh and yeah I love to hang out! Even though I'm a girly-girl at times I usually prefer to hang out with a bunch of guy-friends and do what guys do... drink some beer, watch tv and an occassional burp hehe! http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

March 15th, 2004, 17:04
Hello,
My name is James 'Harpo' Walker I'm 35 yrs. old have a great family and have lived in Barstow most all of my life. I've been involved in off-road racing for over 30 yrs. My father, Johnny Walker, along with several other businessmen, started off-road racing in Barstow in the early seventies. He also was the owner of several successful unlimited race cars all known as "The Spirit of Barstow" from 1971-1979. The first was a 1971 Funco SS1 and the last three were all Sandwinders. "The Spirit of Barstow" has had several well known drivers such as, Don Roundtree, Dub Smith, Bob Maynard, and Brian Skipper. The car won several big races and was very competitive. After my father retired (when I was getting old enough to drive) I began racing with J.D. Ward/Terry Jeffers in class 10 and 1/2-1600. We were always competitive and did fairly well for the budget we had to race on. During that time I also raced a Quad in the La Rana Desert Series winning the class championship in 1994. I'm now with the Rick Johnson/Rob Rinertson Protruck team. This is a great team with a great bunch of guys. So if you see one of us in our red T-shirts at the races, come say hi. I love to meet new people with the same passion that I have for this great & exciting sport of off-road racing.

whats up, my name is matthew and i am a newbie to the desert racing world. I started getting involved with the desert when my uncle took me to glamis 2 years ago, and once i got my truck all hell broke loose. i spent a year studying all the different types of suspensions and set ups, picking anyone and everyones brains to learn more, paying attention in my math class for things to help me out, and over the past 10 months i have taken my truck from a bone stock yota to a truck that will be competing in its first event at rialto saturday. Hope to make the may 15th race for the first desert race. I have done 95% of all the fabwork on my truck with the rest being help from my friend otter. without his geneoristy in giving me parts off his rolled nissan i would be no where near as far as i am. Also if it werent for pat i would have no idea what ROR is or what a MDR race is like. Also thanx to RDC for helping me with even some of my stupid bonehead questions. This site has been the biggest help and the people are awesome on here. Thanx for all the support from u who have helped me. Sorry for the darkness of the picture, but its the most recent i have.

Whats up to everybody out in the RDC land. My name is Otter Sare. I'm 21 years old and love anything that has to do with the desert and off-roading in general. I'm currently in process of getting a 94 toyota pu because i rolled my 95 nissan hardbody. I put all time, effort, and LOTS of money into this truck and i rolled it at 60 mph and totaled the whole vehicle. Now i guess you could say it is coming back to life in the form of a toyota. Matt Farris has been my friend for about three years and when he got his yota it was all over from there. Now most the parts off my nissan have come back to life. I'm really glad that we have been able to do all the work we have done to his truck. We are going to race MDR in may because we both love the sport. Well that enough of me for now. later to all in RDC land

Howdy Y'all,
My name is Zac, I split my time between the Inland Empire and North San Diego county. I work on the pit crew for Hunter Motorsports, when I'm not at the races or in the desert I'm at school pursuing a mechanical engineering degree. As for right now, I have a 98 ford ranger, with some minor suspension work done to it. But look for it in the summer of 2005 to be then only ranger with IRS at your local desert. Well, a man can dream can't he . . .
Love the desert when I have time to, also a struggling musician, but I think thats another forum . . .

Hi RDC people,
My name is Paul and I have been an RDC addict for quite some time now, just not many posts. I am 22 years old, and obviously not cool in the RDC scene as denoted by my " one star" rating =) Don't let my dry sense of humor fool you, I am a very nice person.
I used to work on a race team in MDR( co-drive and pit) but no longer do. I would love to get back into working with a competative team, so if anyone needs a competent hand, please PM me. I would be happy to chase/ pit.
I used to have a 92 toyota prerunner that was pretty well built to run 1450, but I chopped it up to link it and put a chevy 350 in it, but life got in the way so the project fizzled. All I have left is the motor. I am contemplating another yota or building a truggy, depending on how my ventures go this year.
My favorite dez spot is Ocotillo Wells, I try to spend as much time as I can out there.

Hey guys, my name is Ed. I got bit by the offroad bug hard in 2000 when I drove about half of the 1000 (actually a 2000 that year) in a 1/2 1600. Did the same the following year and have been anxious to get back in ASAP! Seriously looking at building a 10 car over the winter. Hope to meet some of you in the desert. If you are interested in what we do full-time, check out www.legendaryaircraft.com, that's my business and passion.
