What would you guys say is a limit on a 50?? I am 6ft 250 and I know that the 50 will probably be like a thong on me http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. Do you have any other ideas besides a big bike, something to just cruize around on. Thanks

I am 6ft 265 and ride an XR50 just fine. I put the heavier springs front and back and have never had a problem... http://www.race-dezert.com/wwwthreads/files/76599-frontshotrdc.JPG

KLX 110's are pretty cool, there about the size of a xr 70, and it has more than twice the engine of the 50. Heavier though. You can also get them in yellow as the Suzki DRZ 110.

I think the klx/drz 110 is the way to go, even stock its like a pimped out 50

They are only about $300 more then a 50 and you get a better front fork. Most places like fast 50's, BBR etc are making parts for them.

fullpull weighs about 2something and i weigh 175 and we have been huckin 15 foot doubles on my xr's and z's with stock springs for years.just keep the forks and foot controls tight and you shouldn't have any problems under normal conditions.

i dunno how you guys ride or where you ride but im finding out the hard way these things are not for the dirt. im about 6'2" and 250 pounds and everytime i go to the track or the hills i either crash hard or break something. its fun as hell on the road to and from friends houses and doing wheelies down the road but i dont think ill be taking mine in the dirt again. i just bent the crap outa my stock fork tubes today jumping and stuff but what did um in was trying to go to fast and not being able to clear a 3 foot x 3 foot deep rain rut oops oh well time for some 4130 ones anyways. still had a blast and when you do crash it doesnt seem to hurt as bad as when i eat it on my 250. just my .02

it hurts less because you are closer to the ground, if you are serious about riding the 50 there is such a huge aftermarket for them. If it is too slow, get a big bore kit $300ish, or forks arent cutting it? get XR70 forks or some aftermarket forks. As far as a weight limit-Ive seen guys pushin 3 ride these things.

Doesnt the guys weighing near 3 look like a wedgie with wheels on it?? Thoughts on the KLX or DRZ 110s?? I havent found as much stuff on them. Also is the new CRF50 and the XR50 the same minus the graphics? Thanks again Bryan

The plastic (front/rear fender, side panels, shrouds) as well as the graphics have been changed to mimic the "big bike" CRF's (250/450)

You may also what to look into the X-trem pit bimes. They are alot stronger and have all of the crap you will need for like $2000. I have that in my 50 alone. Not including the bike! If i could do it over again I would go that route. AND all of the aftermarket 50 parts bolt right on !
