New Info on PROTEST in Idyllwild...Please Read

New Info and directions to Idyllwild........the Mountain Coalition is protesting the opening of an office by the Center for Biological Diversity, the group responsible for many of the desert closures and lawsuits against the BLM, resulting in more closures of our lands.....

Jim, it looks like this thing is really taking off !!! I would like to change
the meeting place in the morning at 7:30 to be in garner valley, the same
place wher we will have bbq in the afternoon. Otherwise there won't be room
to stage up in town. Way to many folks!! This is a good thing !!!! Could you
post these direrctions to all our friends out there please?

DIRECTIONS to
Garner Valley bbq Site:

From San Diego go north on the 15 to Temecula. Take
hwy 79 east to Aguanga. Take hwy 371 through Anza to hwy 74. Go left on 74
to the pasture just south of lake hemet market. There will be
signs.....

Coming from Riverside and LA, get on the 215 going south out of
Riverside. Go to the Ramona Expressway and go east past Lake Perris and on
in to Hemet. At the end of Ramona Expressway you go left on Hwy 74. Go up
the mountain and stay on 74. Do not go to Idyllwild when you get to Mt.
Center !!!!! Bear right and go over the hill and down into Garner Valley past
lake hemet market a few hundred yards to the pasture where we will bbq.
Cant't miss the signs.

CORVA is planning a big day - for those that can go - it should be a good time!

What day is it on? I was told that the protest is going to be both and Saturday and Sunday. I could go either day.

As for directions. The ones given are perfect. But there is one small detail. the Hwy 79 you want to take if you are coming from San Diego is the first one. It is at the bottom of the big hill you go down after the border check point. Follow the signs to Indio untill you get to Hwy 74. Then make a left and trust me you won't miss it.

I lived up on the mountain for 2.5 years so if you need info on how to get there feel free to send me a private message.
