Adelanto Grand Prix/ who's going?

It is that time again. I recieved the entry form in the mail the other day for the Adelanto GP, thinking back to the sunday i raced and wooo-hoooo the whole thing was whooped out..
Im thinking about racing my quad again ...

Anyone else racing this in January?

Ohhh yaaa! ADGP time. Got my entry in the mail the other day also. Gotta put a new top end on my bike (thank you glamis..or rather my over-ambitious throttle wrist). I also ran Sunday last year. Nothing like getting past by Hengeveld and Cambell doing Mach 1 while I putt-putt along. I have aspirations of finishing on the lead lap this year... only got 3 in last year.

The DVMC web site states the race in on February 28 & 29, 2004. My dad and I have gone every year since 1989 (missing only 2x), racing most of them. I will be missing this one since my wife is delivering our baby boy on the 27th (planned c-section). Don't think she'd understand if I raced this year (can you say divorce???).

The atmosphere out there is great with the grandstand seats for only $5. Very spectator friendly. If you are spectating, I would recommend bringing dirt bikes and cruising the dez for some good sections for video or general spectating. The course sucks and has for a long time. Casey changed it around a little bit - but it's still very whooped out, dusty, crowded....but hey, it's Adelanto and it has a history about it I just love.
