Yup. I'll be doing it. It's nice becuase we get to race in our own "Honda Class" that's the first race with the industry race, open pros, etc. It's nice to get in and out of there before noon!

Hopefully I'll be recovered from this weekend....I raced the Day In The DIrt race out at LACR. After a weekend of practice, 2 45 minute GP's and a 90 minute team race, I was a little slow getting out of bed this morning!! If anybody else is heading down there, what class are you planning on running???

It's on Sunday the 14th of Dec. with a rain date of the 21st I think.

It's a fun race on a legendary track that might not be around much longer.

Last year was pretty big, this year should be even better. I'm planning on racing one of the vintage classes. What's everyone else doing?

I don't plan on racing, but I have done the Carlsbad GP in years past...the drag strip is a blast!

Kbach-

How was Day in the Dirt? I went to see it last year, it's a pretty cool thing. Who were the big guys this year? Who won Coup De Grace?

i heard you have to be 18 to race this gand prix?? i sure hope not (im 17). if you need to be, do you need to present a birth certificate? because i could probably get around it if not.

Ryno...the race was great as usual.

It's great because it's all about fun, but there's still serious racing with some fast guys.

From memory...which isn't too good....

Ryan Hughes / Shaun Palmer won the stunt gp sat
McGrath won the Vet GP on sat
Not sure who won the team race on sunday
Timmy Weigand won the Coup De Grace after Ryno crashed with about 10 minutes to go. The Coup ended up being just a little over 2 and a half hours......and the top guys were still hauling a**, and there were lots of people sitting down rolling everything going about 10 mph!!

Some of the fast guys from past and present were
Ricky Johnson
Mike Bell
Ryan Hughes
Jeff Ward (still WAAAAAAY fast!!!)
Mouse McCoy --- back riding after wadding it up at Baja around 80 miles from the finish, and still finishing --- SOLO!!
Kurt Casselli
Jeremy McGrath
Mike Keidrowsky
Phil Alderton
Sebastion Tortelli (only on friday practice)
Troy Lee
and many many more that I can't think of right now!

The Management of Carlsbad Raceway has gone to great lengths to persuade the landlord to let us have this event. Being this will be our only race of the year they have required us to increase our insurance, have more security inside, and Carlsbad police outside to control traffic. Unfortunately the gate fee (for this event ONLY) will have to be increased to help off-set these extra expenses.

GATE FEE: Adults $20:00 / 12 & under $5.00 / under 6 free
