My truck got stolen in ensenada on thursday morning before tech, right around the corner from Papas and Beer as we were eating breakfast in broad daylight. I am so absolutly pissed off i can't even put it into words. The realitly is it's probably stripped or burned by now but the truck or any parts would be easlily recognizable and I know alot of people who frequent this site are down there quite often. I can't offer much of a reward but if anybody see's it or knows anything about it I will make it worth your while. Now the truck itself isn't that great, and this trip was it's last ever, but I still want the thing and all the stuff that was in it.
Description of the truck: 81 toyota long bed 4x4, yes it had a straight front axle, fully caged front to rear with an alumum dash. Fiberglass fenders and bedsides, the front fenders were huge. they were the Trailer Products 6 inch ones for the 79-83 body style and they are massive. everybody called it the Bat mobile and they would be easily recognizable. It had 33 BFG muds on black rims. In the attached pic the truck is white/black but it was painted all gray, not primer. The front axle would be easily recognizable because it was fully trussed and it it had FJ40 knuckels with vented rotors. All 79-85 toy staright axles had solid rotors, the vented ones should be a dead giveaway. The frame was a hack job but easily noticable by the very front cross member being cut out and replaced by 3x3 tube. It had a brand new 22r with 20r head, serioulsy i put the new motor in 6 days before the trip, with a weber carb and K&N. The valve cover had "Big'n" written on it with a yellow paint pen. It also had a Locos Mocos.com banner across the wind shield and huge # 701 on each door.
The other stuff they got totals about 5 grand, a buch of snap-on tools, two video cameras, clothes, sleeping bags, GPS, race radio, the list goes on and on. I did have mexican insurance but they wouldn't do full coverage on anything older than an 89 so i'm really SOL. Any help would be appreciated but i realize i'll probably never see the thing again. The truck always liked baja, now i guess it gets to live there forever. Rest in peace truck, rest in peace.
