I'm sure this may have been covered before but I couldn't find anything. I got a fullsize 1998 C1500 Ext Cab with the Vortec 5.7 V8 and I just swapped in the Fabtech springs (6" kit with upper arms, spindles etc) until I can afford something better. The problem, as most of you all know is that these springs are stiff as hell. The lift is nice but there is no control either full compression or full droop. I would like to outsource some longer front springs but keep the same spring rate as stock. Any suggestions. I don't want to start a Ford VS Chevy debate as my truck is paid for and I'm keeping it. What I would like to do is get a set of eibach coils or equivalent in the same spring rate but a few inches longer then stock to still get the required lift. Is this possible or am I just spinning my wheels?

Go with the v-6 coil, or non extra cab coil.

Are they any longer? What are the advantages? Should I go with a stock V6 or non ext cab coil or one of the one's the lift companies put out?

Thanks,

Josh

They are the same length just a lighter spring rate and should ride a lot nicer. You wont have as much lift as with the v-8 extra cab coil but that is most of your problem.
