35's on a 98 Tahoe 4x4?

Would it be possible to fit 35's on a stock Tahoe 4x4 if it had front fiberglass fenders? It is a street truck only so I am not concerned if it rubbed when the suspension was fully compressed. I know that 33's fit on it stock and do not rub. Has anyone had 35's fit? Could I adjust the torsions to gain an inch of ride height to make them fit? Any drawbacks to tweaking the torsions with the 4x4? I just want it to look good on the street and am not concerned with upgrading the suspension. Any recommendations? Thanks, Brian.

no way in hell are 35's gonna work. i had a friend with the same truck, he had a 6" lift on the front and 4" lift in the rear. the fronts cleared after some modifying to sheet metal and the valance removal. the rears still hit in the front lower corners of the wheel wells at full compression. so i wouldnt do it unless you want to do dome serious cutting of sheet metal with a body saw. or hell, just let em self clearance. lol

as far as the torsions, yeah you can crank an inch of lift in, but a few things will happen. one is it will ride worse, you will have eliminated most of your down travel so the suspension will be slapping the droop stops all the time giving a harsh ride, it will also corner worse and you will start to wear the inside edges off your tires from the camber change during cornering. the cranking the bars can also shorten the life of your cv's do to the more extreme angle, but this takes along time to happen.
