i have the destroy motorsports extended beam coilover kit on my truck. what i was wondering is, what is the optimal ride height to set it at? also is there any performance change from lowering/raising the front? like will it affect how my truck does offroad through the woops and jumps depending on how my ride height is set? cause i was thinking, the higher the ride height, the less my wheels will drop out? i know i probably sound stupid so go easy on me =)

I've been sort of wondering this also-Just to add to the question. Are these beams set up at a stock height or 5" lift in the jigs? Anyone thats seen the Newline kit can see its pretty low,but does the truck lift on acceleration to a higher "moving" ride height.Camburgs kits look like a normal ride height-5" lift or so.Anybody that has these kits please elaborate.

Yeah-the answers are only a phone call away to the builder--but no matter what they are trying to sell their stuff so you get their opinion on their stuff and sometimes others.

I'm running both Newline kits (4 link rear, and front kingpin beams w/ swingset steering), and as a prefrence I like a bit more of a lower ride height than most.

I get a bit of lift when at full acceleration... about 4 inches off the front to be exact. I'm more of a "lower center of gravity" purist, and like the way my Ranger responds accordingly when its set up that way. My reasoning being that I can toss it into a turn, with a better feel for the transfer of weight and reaction of the truck overall.

I think its pretty much a preference, and not so much of a travel issue, so...

BTW, I'm running 20 inches of travel up front, and 27 in. in the rear with stepped (pied) frame rails.

sounds good, so pretty much what are you saying is performance is not an issue, its more of a drive preference?

Performance is the issue... keep in mind with as much travel I have on tap, thats the set up I prefer.
