Swapping to a 9''...new u-joint required?

alright guys...i just got a complete ford 9'' to put in my 97 ranger, which currently has the 7.5'' rear end in it. if it matters, its a 2.3L. what i was wondering is does my driveshaft have the currect U-Joint on it to fit onto the part of the pumpkin where it attatches? if i need a new one, can someone guide me to where i can get one? thanks

It all depends on the yoke on your 3rd member. When I went from the 7.5" to the 9" i had to get a longer driveshaft made and a bigger u-joint end put on it.
