I'm trying to see who has what model or what is the most popular alum. jack.I'm going to be making skidplates to bolt to the jacks where the rear casters go,but some models have one front wide wheel between the frame while others have two regular wheels. It'll incorporate some sort of handle holder as well-single or two piece? How about a plate that the skid plate slips into and is pinned in place?would anyone be interested in some sort of complete weld on mount and skidplate

Pepboys has some brand TOLIN I think both an all aluminum 1-1/2" ton for 179.00 and a aluminum and steel twin piston 2-1/2" ton for 119.00

Maybe a street version with a nylon/plastic bottom or runners?

Trying to get something for the EXPO this weekend
Any input would be great as to the models everyone owns

Kragen Auto Parts has the Powerbuilt ones, 1 1/2 ton all aluminum for I think 140 now. I have 1 and I am going to get another. I am going to machine a skid plate, and also make the skid plate lift the jack higher for more lifting hieght.

i just tried out my new harbor freight aluminum floor jack. I didnt read the load rating for it, but i will tell you it barely lifts the corner of a k1500 up. It just about bends the handle. It takes nine pumps to get to full extension too. So if you have a fullsize, i would stay away from these things

Ya, they are only for mini trucks.

I am building my T100 and it will have 35's on it. I have been wondering what most people are using for jacks in their prerunners or race trucks. At Primm I saw a few trucks with full size aluminum jacks, but I am hoping to get something a little smaller that will still work on my truck. anyone?

We took a the Orange Harbor Fraight jack (Dont know what size it was), cut the caster off of it and made a skidder for it. Works great to lift up any truck and not that heavy.

I just buy those cheap 2 ton jacks at Pep boys...add a skid plate and weld a extension on the lift. Works great, very light weight and so cheap u dont care when you lose it or brake it.

Sears just came out with a Craftsman Aluminum jack. Looks pretty nice. I think it was advertised for $160.
