properly flame aneal

Can anyone tell me how to properly flame aneal a joint. What kind of flame, how hot, etc.

The short answer is no, no one can tell you how to do it. You need to be shown how, and the results are directly dependent on how good you are at it. If they are parts that will fit in a heat treat oven, spend the money. The heat treater knows what he is doing and that is what you are buying.
