I haven't yet bought the truck but itwill probibly be a ranger. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with putting a 302/5.0 in their ranger and smogging it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive got a 5.0 in my 94 ranger...good luck with getting it smogged tho...I had one hell of a time...finally i gave in and found a "friend" that would handle things for me.....the motor has to be the same year or newer of the veichle..from what i understand the only legal way to do it is to get a 5.0 v-8 outta a exploder. also you have to use the same tranny combo that came on the donor engine.
all this info came from my "friend" who is a pretty reiliable source.

I've looked at the links and tried to contact them; no response.
Is there anyone out there who has experience building motors, do you think it is possible to get a fuel injected 302 with all the smog equip. to just pass the sniffer test In a 94 ranger. I live in nevada and smog is pretty relaxed. So as long as you have all the equip. and pass the sniffer you will get a full pass. Thanks to anyone that can help me out in any way.
