I was just checking out Volkswagen's new TT and saw a bunch of weird stuff that made me curious. The hiems on the four link has anyone seen or know anything about the rubber "covers?" over them? Do you think they're really necessary? It looked like the bump stops had the old school accordian style covers on them too. The sway bar set up looks pretty wild. I would have thought a German auto maker would put German shocks on their car, guess not. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

The heim covers are just a rubber boot that you slip over the hiem joint. A major PITA to put on. The rear bump covers are just cut down motorcycle fork boots it look like to me.... As far as the Touareg TT being German, that mooochine is 100% so cal built!
