3 seat rangers

I wanted to see if any guys with a 3 seat ranger would mind posting some pics of how it was done, final fit etc...

Just trying to get some ideas.

hey i fit in there and it wasnt half bad now i dont know about prerunnin 500 miles in that seat but i think i would be havin too much fun to care

my ex was in the back for the 500 and for the toys for tots race and primm.. she would always mention that it was a tight fit. but always said it was WAY better then just sittin at the pits.

If I go this route the third seat will be for my 8 year old. I am just trying to think of the future. And it is nice to be able to put a third person in case of emergancy.

we just went and did a section of the baja 1000 with my truck with only 2 people, we took a suit case with clothes sleeping bags and extra parts and put it in the back seat and seat belted it in.. :D:D:D

My truck a little snug, but great to have the 3rd seat back there. Put low backs in the front, it frees up so much room not having the head rest.
My seat guy makes me one that has the bottom shorten to be able to fit behind the 2 front ones better, if you put a full size seat in the rear it push’s the front ones foreword to much.

thats a good pict. of the bar that goes under the window. it needs to be below that sheet metal or it needs to be cut so you can get the seat to lean back some.

That last pic is what I had in mind. I am not sure at the moment if I am going to be able to do anything right now but I think this is the route I am going to go.

The 3rd seat on our truck is very comfortable. I'd rather ride 3rd seat then passenger most of the time, its a great view. 3 seats=much more fun.

That was me sitting shotgun in SimonSays truck!!! :D My friends 17 year old daughter was riding in the back seat-she had no complaints on it being to small or uncomfortable :) probably 5'4 girl!! Hope your 3 seater works for you!! Post some pics when it's finished!! :)

I am trying really hard to get it going at the momnet but right now I have not been working much and jjust to keep the race car and my single cab ranger going is tapping me out! But things will recover (soon?) and as soon as I get back to full time it is on!!

3 seats rock, perry mcniel has supplied all my seats. the third one is shorter by 3 inches and 3 inches taken out of the width. I used low backs in the front and a regular seat in the rear (so your head isnt bouncing off the rear glass). I also cut into the
floor where the shifter was and put a foot rest with a little bar to keep feet from
bouncing around in the rough then mounted the shifter off the dash as high as poss.
one thing I wanted to do was make the pass front seat tilt forward so yo could get to the back area easier (this will not help the 3rd person they would still have to climb in
but would help in a prerruner truck to get to your stuff.

No my dad won't trade me so I need to get another ranger. My thought is too get an untouched daily driver and swap all my stuff out.

I know that both Perry,Jason , and Chad McNeil had third seat in 7 trucks we did also and when we went to Savage he said it's not legal neither are all the McNeil trucks unless you modify the cage,which was never done!!! during tech he tells you no one can ride there! but they do anyway.That third person helps when you get stuck or other problems ,personally I could care less!! But Beware !!! that seat is uncomfortable though!!.Note Randy Sorensen 7 truck is the only truck that I know that is score legal.
