Quick Release Steering

Right now I'm looking into buying a quick release steering hub for my truck. I was wondering if the splined or hex hubs are better? Also I found a place called TEKNIQ in Canada who make a pretty cool locking set up. Has anyone heard of these or know if there any good? Their web site is www.tekniqauto.com

Splined like the sweet mfg setup is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. The hex has too much play and rattles too much. They're more expensive, but i'd go with the splined.....now, if you need a hex setup, let me know. I've got a new one that a friend bought and was going to have me install but I told him I wouldn't install it so he bought the sweet deal. He left it at the house and didn't want it back....so I threw it in a drawer.

If you run a sparco or momo wheel...you cant go wrong with this hub it bolts between your wheel and adapter.

Is that what your running, it looks like the one that MOMO makes. I was looking around online last night and saw that one but the price turned me away from it. The place wanted like $325 for the quick release alone. Do you know were to get it cheaper. I'm going to run the MOMO Mod. 80 wheel.

That is a sparco product. The price is in the 3's. You would be better off trying to find a Momo one becuase you can find somebody who whores out the prices with Momo equipment...which you wont find with Sparco.

on ebay they got 2 momo quick release adapters for around 100 bucks buy it now.

We have Momo and Sparco in stock. We also have that Quick release / adapter in stock; that is the nicest one I have seen. The Sparco one has an index so you always center the wheel in the right spot. It also has o play in it! Very high end. We also have a different one. It is around $100. Call Camburg 714 848-8880 for info.

I have the Sparco release and wheel and I am very happy! Very little play and a solid system.

Thanks guys for all your advice, I ended up breaking down and getting the sparco quick release hub. I just called Jerry and got it from him. If anyone needs to get a momo steering wheel there's a place that I found them really cheap, I got my momo Mod.80 for $170 instead if $225 www.finishlineperformance.com

If you use a wheel with the Grant 5 bolt pattern check out the Mark Williams QD. They also offer it in the std 3 bolt version. It is the nicest QD I've seen in person. The Sweet and it's clones are crude in comparison. The wilwood hex is the crudest yet.
