does anybody have any info on putting 44 knuckles on a 35.after looking at a bare 35 housing and a 44 knuckle and they looked compatable aside from the lower ball joint stud size.

I hear that it is just a matter of reaming the lower taper a little bigger for the larger ball-joint.

don't know what your doing, but your best off dumping the 35. if you off road at all, they don't hold up for long.
do know the swap is possible, thought spindles out worked.

http://www.therangerstation.com/35with44parts.html an article on dana 44 parts on dana 35's
I would have to disagree and say that the dana 35 has held up very well in my truck. The only weakness i have found is the housing itself, getting it plated fixes the weakness i think john at autofab charges like 200 or 250 for the plating and it is well worth it. This is all depending on your application, i can hit high desert speeds and occasionally you'll find me rockcrawling with my jeep buddies. and i always get a laugh pulling people out of the deep sand.
