Other then TLT and Manufacturers sites do you guys get your purchase type parts. I have noticed some signaw boxes, ball joints and monoballs drawn in mostly solid works. I don't mind drawing purchasd parts and don't expect people to turn in fabricated parts because that is what makes custom custom.
I am looking for, or possible willing to create a site for "Univiersally" formated parts so that we can spend time doing what we enjoy and less time redrawing parts. Are there already too many sites out there and if so and they are for a sinlge platform, would people be willing to convert them to a neutral format and give them to me so that I could create a more universal library. I will make a poll to see it this is a waste of time or not but I think I can get some support here.
I use inventor and at cbliss (http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/Parts/index.htm) website there are tons of files but you need inventor. I would be willing to recreate a similar library for these types of files in a neutral format if those in other platforms were willing to do the same for me.
Chime in and let me know what you think.
