View Full Version : Obama on Immigration
Moonbats of this abode - DON'T LOOK HERE. The following information will challenge your unfounded opinions and will be detrimental to you self esteem.
---
How fortunate we are that the Obamessiah deigns to shower his enlightened insights down upon us. His latest pearl of wisdom:
Understand this: Instead of worrying about whether … uh … immigrants can learn English […] you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish. […] You know, it's embarrassing […] it's embarrassing when, when uh … you … when Europeans come over here. They all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe … and uh [meaningless gurgling noise as he tries to speak English without a teleprompter] and all we's can say is, "Merci beaucoup."
YouTube - Barack Obama: Your Children Should Learn To Speak Spanish
Now wonder Obama and his gang hate America so much. It's always embarrassing him in front of Europeans.
Why we should waste precious time learning the languages of countries in decline when we already speak the one language people around the world are most likely to know is not explained. Nonetheless, bashing America in favor of Europe is always good for hearty applause from the sort of idiots who support this jackass:

Ya, I would hate to educate your kids with a foreign language, especially in our desert racing community, I mean, what good would learning Spanish do!
-Alex (does my opinion now make me a Moon bat?, is that Spanish for something? sorry, off to save a tree and hug my Prius)

Making it an option is fine. Creating an aura of PC to require learning Spanish is not.

We better start learning Mandrian,Arabic and Farci because that's where all of our money is going.. and that's who is buying up all of our property here in the United States.

Ya, he is nowhere as well versed as our current leader ;)
The funny thing about that is when comments were made about Bush and the Bushism speak plus his inability to give a speach we were being told that being able to give a good speech does not make for a qualified leader!

I am curious how many languages BO can speak. We know he can read english very well from a tele-prompter but he seems to struggle with dialog especially when he is asked to explain "change".
Ya, he is nowhere as well versed as our current leader ;)
Yet BO is claimed to be a gifted orator.
Evidently not.

I can make excuses for him like people did/do for Bush, does that count :) Maybe he was tired and maybe he had given numerous speeches that day and was just getting tongue-tied, maybe the teleprompter was messing up.
Who knows, well you do because of this particular speech.
The reason I respond to these threads is because of the constant bashing from one side of the fence but yet there candidates have been guilty of a lot of the same flaws or errors. Is BO the answer, who knows but that doesn't mean McCain is going to save the US either, I can see some good in both canidates and the interesting fact about me is you don't trully know who I am going to vote for, I have never said.

Post what you have, good or bad, on both candidates.

So we should be worried about our kids learning Spanish, but we shouldn’t be worried if immigrants learn English? He says “Don’t worry about them, they’ll learn English.” I disagree completely, if you accommodate immigrants so they can use their native (Spanish or whatever) language everyday then why would they have to learn English? When I visit another country, I don’t expect people to know English. If I ever went to live in another country I defiantly would expect I would have to learn their language, not expect them to learn mine.
Maybe we should make everyone learn every singe different language in the world, around 6800 different ones. That would solve all kinds of problems.

Its called educating yourself and being able to communicate in a global economy. Don't worry though, just stay hidded under that rock you live under and you'll be ok.
I agree that English should be our official language though and that immigrants should learn to speak it and not the other way around. However learning another language can benefit you tremendously, especially in the global business sector (i.e mucho dinero)!

Travis, you don't know squat about world finance, economy, business etc.
Sure any additional language is handy but the "language of business" across the world is English.

Alex, I remember when I heard Bush say that you know what my response was?... WHAT A MORON! I am a conservative not a republican. I will defend Bush when I agree with him but not across the board. I think that is part of the reason his approval ratings are so low. Most conservatives are not happy with many of his positions like border security, global warming and others.

I agree with making it an option. Not all Europeans know other languages. Obama basicly is impling that the American public in general, are ignorant. I for one would like to learn Spanish, and am trying. I work at a Toyota dealer in Tustin, Ca, and at least 40 percent of the employees are spanish speaking. We can't stand by and let the Dems brainwash this country into voting for them. They are the ones that are taking our rights away, and giving more to illegals and welfare recipiants. If you notice the papers and the internet news every day, they are always reporting the bad news on the economy and oil and so on. Who controls the media? The liberals. Who controls Congress? The liberals. Who wants to be President? A terrorist liberal. Oh did I say that out loud? Sorry. If this offends anyone, oh well. This is my right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution as a Citizen of this country. Wait, apparently Pelosi thinks the Constution applies to anyone in this country either legal or illegal. I better stop now and get off my high horse.

Pat you don't know **** about what I know. Your arrogance is mind blowing. I do deals with businesses from across the globe, where do you think all the major manufactures are from? KTM, BMW, Honda, Suzuki etc. And that's just the manufactures.
English is without question the language of business, but I can tell you this, the fastest way to make friends with potential business associates is by at least attempting to speak in their language. There's your free business lesson of the day.

So what, you help the salesman. I am talking about financial strategy and M&A, among other executive level activities.

Being stupid enough and disrespectful enough to attempt to speak a language you don't know is about par, eh? It would be a crack up to see you pop in to a meeting with financiers, complete with your Metrosexual, spiked and frosted hair. -WAJ!
In a serious business deal where there is no common language, translators are required. That's how the big boys do it Travis.
BTW, did you ever pass the State Bar?
