Just thought I'd share yet another truck project I've been working on.
This model has been very smooth going , I wish they all would go as smooth as this one has
been.

It's a beaut. Mind if I ask where you got the body for that year f-150? Or was it in kit form?

Hey Dave, have any of your trucks wrecked?

dave
May 1st, 2003, 18:32
Well my wife made a model one time and she made it look like a 11car had crashed ... I have a picture of it. If I can find it I'll post it. I have thought about doing something like that with race truck model, but
I just haven't got around to it. I'd like to do some kind of display with a truck ( thats still runing in
a race ) but has rolled and lost some of his glass................ Some day down the road.

My model dave made me wrecked.. The movers sat a full box on it. . Dave was able to save it though.. He is the man.

dave

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. This one is a free build . The person just wanted the body style
and color to match his old truck. We started this model a while ago back before I even had the model kit. This model I'm going to enter it in a model contest on the 24th of this month in Balboa Park ( if all goes well and they let me in ) just want to see how it does I've never done one before so.....

Dave- How much does one of those end up costing? Just curious, I will pay you to build me one! I like the 1:1 scale!

Wrecks are really fun to make. My best one was a p-51 mustang that was laid out on a section of what looked like a tropical island. A hot pin makes the coolest bullet holes too. The scene even had a disgruntled pilot (parachute still attached) kicking a tire. LOL I wish I had a pic, that was many years ago.

dave , the truck looks "pimpdubious" http://www.race-dezert.com/vb3/attachments/old/images/graemlins/wink.gif

when you enter it ,will it be on a landscape like that ? if so if you could hang it about 4 feet above the ground in an upward motion it would be "off the heazy , fo sheazy !!! " ...... and that would be a GOOD thing !

Build your own dude!
Just buy a kit,and alot of evergreen styrene tubing, rod and sheet.
Tires are found from aftermarket guys, and other stuff is around your house.
Or Pay Dave alot of money and he might build you one??
Takes alot of time and around $100 in kits and parts you have to buy?
Sometimes you have to buy 5 different kits to get certain peices like HID lights, wheels, suspension parts......
I used about 4 or 5 kits to build this old school pre runner.
