...huh? I read this article three times and can't decide if it doesn't make sense because it's poorly written, or it just doesn't make sense because I don't see the sense of what Obama is saying....

Obama is saying that if America were to capture Laden we would want to execute him but in a fashion that does not make him a savior to his people. Don't know how that could be done considering Laden is fighting for his people and anything he does to fight against America, including giving his life would be considered a good thing, making him a martyr. At least that is how I read it.

Osama Bin Laden is likely dead. If you have ever watched his tapes he is known to be left handed, always holding the microphone in his left hand. After we went to Afganistan, in his tapes he was holding the mic in his right hand which is very uncharacterictic of him. I believe that his health was deteriorating so badly that the left side of his body didn't work anymore. His hair turned grey as could be and he sounded weak and appeared to have lost weight. It is known that he needs a dialisis machine to live. I think that the media is the only thing that makes people think that he is still alive. Maybe he is not on the FBI's 10 most wanted list because they know he is dead. The media will always keep him alive until there is concrete evidence. Sure maybe we push our agenda on other countries, but some countries agendas are to kill us.

I think you're right 22rekid. Personally I think we blasted him to bits years ago. No one else but us could prove with dna testing if some smoking chunks of meat were him. If he disappears without a trace, it makes sense for his cohorts to pretend he's alive, as you cant make him a martyr if you dont know where he went. So we keep quiet and let the world think he is still alive to prevent muslims from getting rilled up, and to a lesser extent to keep him for a reminder of 911 and the threat of radical islam.
