Handheld Radios

Ham Radio Outlet has a great deal right now on the Yaesu VX-150, but is needs to be modified for race frequencies. Does anyone know if its a simple mod like the Kenwood mobiles or if I need to take it somewhere to get it done?

Matt,

It requires moving a resistor from one location to another. Probably not a good idea for a beginner or someone with a 200 watt Weller gun!

Thanks Reese. The price looked pretty good to me too. I picked up a couple of them...though they're currently out of stock. I received an e-mail from someone who knows how to do the mod, so it looks like it will all work out.
