October 22nd, 2002, 10:45
My thought is you need a new alignment cam for the passenger side.. Too much Camber. :-)

JrSyko
October 22nd, 2002, 11:15
I'd say do quarter eliptics as it will match the "retro" looking truck theme you got going. It could be like the classic model or something.

Funny John ...... :-) Wait till you see the Bronco.......

I like that idea , so it will be done. Thanks for the vote...

That is way cool! My buddy did a Silverado with a 4-link and centered pivot points and coilovers all the way around, but he didn't do a cage though, he was going to but his cat got on the mantle where it was and knocked it over and broke everything.

I dont know how you do it but i thought that to do the cage and everythign tublular you could use the tubes that hold that parts on when you buy the kit. like the tubes where you pull the individual parts off of. i dotn know about the shocks, but it sure is crazy.

dave
October 23rd, 2002, 12:27
Ok here's some fender stuff.
For Ford Rangers. The stuff I use you can find in the Biotech field. They are used to for scales when you need to measure out every little amounts of stuff.

Here's the start .

dave

dave

After you glue it on you can clean up the fender and maybe do a little bit more shaping to get the look your looking for.
The Ranger in the picture is Davis Motorsports Ranger. Update on that truck is the place i was getting my tires from ( Japan ) the company is having major problems from what i was told . I have now made and mold of my own style of trie that i will be using for that truck so work is on again .. sorry for taking so Damn long on that model guys :-(

Nope all the bends are done by hand or I should say fingers. I try'd to use stuff to help me bens stuff up but for me it took to long and was a pain in the ........... I found it easier just to do it free fingers. lol

Dave is there a shop where you get the models (truck bodies etc.) and the materials or do ya make it yourself or do ya just got the madd hook-ups? I live in Hemet/Covina and if there is anyway I can get the stuff you get I would love to have it. Is there a place where I can get all that stuff like the roll cage material and that "bondo" stuff and the bodies and whatever else you use? Do you cut stuff out or what's the deal man??!!

That is what it did look like at one time. Until the fatal "at speed" incident. No one was hurt.

Actually the movers decided to put a heavy box on the box I had my model in.. Crunch. Dave is going to rebuild it and finish my bronco model and start on a new model for me of whatever play truck I decide to buy, or maybe a 4 seater, I am looking at those too, Dave could make his first 4 seater model. That would be bitchin.

dave
October 29th, 2002, 11:06
Damn Movers !!!! I'm starting to wonder how many of the models I have made for people over the years are still around ??? Rob Maccachren still has his. Ragland ????
I have heard that this model had a bad crash ... I don't know how bad it was but I did hear it doesn't have a front end on it anymore.....

October 29th, 2002, 11:07

Off the hook? I still think that the Protruck you did for my racing team is the best ever. You have done models that represent more radical trucks, but the Protruck you did for us is identical to the race truck, bar for bar.

Incredible work Bro.
