Cage to Frame Mounts

What do you guys think of the way they mounted the rear cage to the frame on this truck? I've never seen it done like this before.

Lots of prerunners are like that. It's a little flexy, but cuts down on vibration and noise in the cab, as long as your shocks aren't mounted to the cage.

Agreed PartyBardge. My old prerunner had those same type of mounts. It was flexy and the bars through the cab would actually flex enough to hit the cab when off-road. It often sounded like someone was hitting my truck with a hammer. However, I didn't have as many tubes as that ranger has.

It is possible to tune the amount of flex (at least that allowed by the bushings) by changing the durometer of the bushing material. I'll bet the flex would all but disappear if you used Acetal instead of Urethane. It would likely go away completely if you used aluminum for the bushes. That way it would be stiff and still allow unbolting for what ever reason.
