looks great. will this be the real first test of the front end? why are the shocks leaning back so far? is that giving you a closer one to one ratio on the stroke?

This will be this trucks first race. Ross tested the truck a few times and feel like it is time to race it.
The shocks are a 2.5" pure race series and 3" bypass front and rear.

Those beam ends are a great Idea. What a great way to have adjustment. Keep us informed as to how they do.

No the truck will not be at the Off-Road Expo. It will be at the BITD Las Vegas 300 racing.
This truck is a brand new build so I don't know about melting shifter cables.

Jerry Z: Ask Ross about the shift cable... it was a hickup in testing in Mohave Valley a few weeks ago. I never heard if the exhaust fix worked.

I cant tell if they are welded to the frame, but it doesnt look like the beam and radius arm brackets are welded to the frame in some of the pictures. I thought you guys recomended welding them on? I'd like to know for future refrence when I put my kit on, thanks.

The truck had a few great testing sessions in Barstow before the BITD Vegas 300 race with no problems. During the Vegas race one of the beam pivots bent and caught the coilover springs that turned the pivot into a pretzel. The beam pivot is around 1/8 - 1/4" from the coilover so maybe the coilover spring bulged catching the beam pivot? We don't know. I want to install our in car cam and video this to see how close it gets under load. All we can do is add a few more gussets to the new brackets and see what happens. Ross was out testing in Barstow over the weekend with his new beam pivot with zero problems. It is very weird to us that a bracket like this could bend like it did. I talked to Ross yesterday and he thinks it was the coil spring that caught it that bent it because of the weight of the truck.
As for do we bolt them on or weld them... We bolt them on for this very reason. If the parts were welded to the frame it would be very hard to replace them vs. them being bolted on you can replace them in a few minutes. The bracket had no stress where they bolt to the frame, the only area is down where the beam mounts to the bracket. All the pivots on our EDGE race truck are bolted to the frame and we have yet to have any problems.
In the end we are very happy to have Ross testing our parts because we know he drives his truck hard and fast. We hope he will find areas we can improve on in our products.

Jerry, was the kit designed for the shocks to be so close to the pivot bracket or was the shock placement determined by the truck builder?
Not that it matters when another part is contacting them, but are the pivot brackets braced to the engine cross member?

The shocks were mounted by the builder of the truck. The brackets are attached to the cross member. There are zero signs of stress where the brackets bolt to the frame. It is still very weird the bracket did what it did. All in all it is a $300 beam pivot bracket that bent. Ross was able to come get a new one and bolt it on in less than an hour...
