Along time ago, in a galaxy far far away . . .

Oops, Wrong Story . . .
We started building this car beginning of last year. Built on a budget, but a lot of time and deep thought went into this car. Had some delays getting her into the desert, mainly not enough time, with daily life, jobs, family as far as the people involved with the car are concerned. So the wait is now over. She is finally dirty.
Thanks to all the people who came out for the first test session. As far as maiden voyages go, this one was very succesful, a couple minor details to attend to, some spring rates changed, and some bypass tubes turned and she was starting to show her potential. Must say awesome job done by Gene at GET performance fabrication for building the car and putting up with a with the parts and suspension designed for this chassis. Also thanks to Scott for driving the wheels off of chassis #1.
Hopefully we will get some video next week when we go testing again.

Car weighed in at 2250 by score definition with a couple gallons in the tank. (no driver/codriver) About what we were shooting for since its gonna eventually get a bigger motor and be a 1 car.

Zack just wanted to say it was fun bouncing suspension/shock theories back and forth (as always). Great design by Zack and great execution by Gene. This is the best out of the box car I have ever ridden in.

I saw this car out in Barstow yesterday. It looks awesome man! I really gotta thank everybody from their team that took time and helped us out with our truggy. I didn't really get anybody's name but you gave us a good idea of where we need to go with the truck and gave us a lot of good information on suspension.

Thanks again!

I thought that it looked a little overbuilt for a 10 car. At a weight like that, it'll be a fast 1 car.

The one thing that everyone looks at when judging a 10 car is weight, I can tell you from past experience that a car on the heavy side works better than a light 10 car. When I worked for a 10 car team, our cars never weighed less than 2500lbs w/out drivers, and at primm we had the highest top speed through the main pit. Granted we were running some awesome engines, but about +5 mph difference . . .

As it sits right now, the car absolutely loves the rough. Tons of driver confidence, always asking to go faster. Since the last race, we have re-geared the trans, and its starting to act like the racecar that it should.

Once the bigger engine gets put in we will have a whole new car on our hands, the frame was built 1.75" x .095 which makes it score legal to 3000 lbs. As a side note, 1.75 x .095" is approx the same weight per foot as 1.50" x .120.

thanks for the interest . .
