· EXHIBIT SPACE SOLD OUT AS COUNTOWN BEGINS TO OFF ROAD EXPO 2002 ·
August 27, 2002 – Arcadia, CA: Off Road Expo, the premier consumer show for the entire off-road community, has filled all 205,000 square feet of available exhibitor space for the upcoming Off Road Expo 2002 scheduled for October 5-6 at the Fairplex in Pomona. “The show has been sold out since mid-August”, according to show producer Guy Petersen. “We do have a handful of outdoor booths and vehicle display spaces left but those spots are filling up quickly as more people are realizing that the show is less than six weeks away”.
Another fast approaching deadline is Friday, August 30th, the ad sales cutoff date for the show program. Communications Director, George Thompson, is working with journalists Tony Tellier and Eric Record to bring a variety of high quality content to this year’s program. Everyone attending Off Road Expo 2002 will receive a free souvenir copy. “I’ve been involved with the production of event programs in the past”, said Thompson. “Typically they consist primarily of display ads and directions to the day’s activities and are often disposed of shortly after the event. We decided to publish a program that would not only help people find their way around the show, but also provide some interesting features about some of the exhibitors and a few of the many segments that make up the community of off-road enthusiasts. Our goal is to encourage our audience to take them home to read and share with friends so that our advertisers will continue to benefit from the increased exposure.”
According to Marketing Director Bob Bower, Primedia Automotive Group has signed on as Associate Sponsor of Off Road Expo 2002. Publisher of 48 well known automotive enthusiast magazines, Primedia will be represented at this year’s show by 4Wheel & Off-Road, Four Wheeler and JP Magazines. Primedia Automotive Group recently bought out Emap, USA, previous owner of these three well-known automotive titles who was Associate Sponsor of Off Road Expo 2002. For more information on Primedia Automotive Group and a complete listing of their various publications please visit their web site at www.primediautomotive.com.
And finally, Off Road Expo Producer Guy Petersen is pleased to announce the addition of Colin Butcher to the Off Road Expo Staff in the role of Show Coordinator. With almost 40 years in the automotive aftermarket industry, Colin brings a broad range of automotive experience to the Expo team having held key
management positions with Tenneco Automotive/Rancho Suspension and more recently, Edelbrock Corporation.
Drawing on his years of experience in the trade show arena, Colin will be in charge of getting all the exhibitors moved in and set-up as efficiently as possible. He will also be the man to see to resolve any problems with the expo side of the display areas before, during and after the show to make sure that your experience at Off Road Expo 2002 will go as smoothly as you have every right to expect.
