16th Annual Barona Oaks Mini National Grand Prize Winners
RAMONA, CA AUG 31-SEPT 1--The 16th Annual Barona Oaks Mini National drew nearly 600 riders from all age groups. CMMC (the race host) a non-profit organization, with the help of their title sponsors, MotoWorld, MotoWorldRacing.com, KTM Sport Motorcycles, Quinsey Powersports, Barona Band of Mission Indians, Precision Concepts, One Industries, Threat Racing and Escondido Cycle Center gave away over $40,000 in prizes to the entrants. The Grand Prize class winners each received a motorized Go-Ped (valued at $800) for their efforts. Most importantly was that all the riders entered got their chance at choosing through the huge assortment of gifts.
The big winner of the day was Jesse Casillas as he took home a Grand Prize Go-Ped in the 125 Expert Class and also took home the lion's share of the $2000 purse (plus payback money) in each of the 125 and 250 Pro classes. Winning multiple Grand Prizes was Micky Griffin as he won the 125 Intermediate, 125 16-25 year old and 250 Intermediate classes. The other Grand Prize winners were Brian Taylor, Pee Wee 0-6 Stock; Eric Yorba, Pee Wee 7-8 Stock; Colt Hubbs, Super Pee Wee 0-9; Austin Politelli, 60 0-8; Chris Plouffe 60 9-11;Trevor Reis 80 7-11; Donnie Kearney 80 Novice; Adrian Fuller, 80 Intermediate;Cas Swift, Supermini; Michael Parker, 125 12-15; Brock Harden 125 Novice; KevinFrisbe, 250 Novice; and Chris Wheeler, 250 Expert. Beginner and Modified Class winners did not race for Grand Prizes but were rewarded for their effort with a trip through the prize line.
