THE BAJA MEX "300" WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
Las Vegas, NV – Casey Folks, Director of Best In The Desert Racing Association, is very proud to announce that Corona Extra is the Title Sponsor of the Baja Mex "300". “This is very exciting news,” says Folks, “everything is going along so smoothly with the Baja Mex "300" and having Corona Extra on board is the icing on the cake! All of the arrangements for the Baja Mex "300" have been moving along and with Corona Extra on board I couldn’t ask for more!
Corona Extra is certainly a product that everyone is familiar with and Corona Beer brings a lot of prestige to the event!”
The Corona Extra Baja Mex "300" World Championship is only weeks away and already, just the mention of the event is stirring up a lot of excitement. With the presence of Corona Extra, the Baja Mex "300" will certainly have excitement written all over it! Technical Inspection and Contingency will be held in downtown Ensenada under the big Mexican Flag, it’s a great location because it is in the downtown plaza area where people congregate. It is also in the area where the people of Ensenada welcome tourists entering the Bay of Ensenada, it’s just a beautiful area that gives you the feeling that you are in paradise! With the Bay of Ensenada as a backdrop, the Palm Trees swaying, the Tradewinds blowing, and Corona Extra’s presence, the Technical Inspection and Contingency are going to be a happening!
Corona Extra will also have a great presence at the Estero Beach Resort! When you drive thru the gates in to the Estero Beach Resort it takes your breath away! You will see the beautiful, colorful foliage around the grounds of the Estero Beach Resort, you’ll see the exciting race track off to the left where the Start/Finish will be to the Corona Extra Baja Mex "300" World Championship, you’ll see the Corona Extra Balloon, the Golden West Cycle Balloon and the VP Racing Fuel Balloon, and you’ll certainly know a big, big event is taking place! This is not only an exciting adventure in the Best In The Desert line up, but an off-road race environment in paradise!
Registration, Contingency and Technical Inspection will be held in downtown Ensenada on Friday, September 20, 2002. On Saturday, September 21, 2002, the Start/Finish will be at the beautiful, gated Estero Beach Resort. The draw for start positions is August 30th, Pre-Running will begin on Saturday, September 7th and the event dates are September 20, 21, 22, 2002. There will be six (6) designated pits along the course, and the Baja Mex “300” is a point’s race for all Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles and Quads! The Awards Presentation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2002, at Estero Beach Resort!
