FABTECH Performance Suspensions in grasp of two World Championships!
Brea, CA (August 2,2002)- FABTECH's roots run deep in off-road racing with over ten years of building, racing and winning Short Course and Desert Champions. The two factory backed Ford Rangers driven by Craig Turner and Rick Huseman are in grasp of two more Championships in the Desert and Short Course arena's.
In 2002, six time Off-Road Champion Craig Turner has dominated the Seven Unlimited ranks of the SCORE International race series in his FABTECH Motorsports Ford Ranger. With two wins and two second place finishes, Craig has taken a commanding points lead. Craig currently has 203 points while second place sits at 66 points. In 2001, Craig took two Championships, the SCORE International and The BEST In The DESERT Championships. 2001 also marked Craig's first Baja 1000 win. With two races remaining in the SCORE International race series, the PRIMM 300 (Sept. 14, 2002) and Baja 1000
(Nov. 22,23, 2002), Craig is sure to take his seventh Championship.
2002 has been the year for Rick Huseman in his FABTECH Motorsports Ford Ranger competing in the Pro-Lite ranks of the CORR race series. One year after Jeff Kincaid narrowly beat Rick Huseman for the Pro-Lite championship (205 to 198), it appears that the two drivers are destined to go head-to-head during the last four rounds in the division. Jeff Kincaid’s Forest County Potawatomi Toyota had two dominating performances in Rounds 8 and 10, giving him three wins on the year and 21 in his Pro-Lite career. Rick Huseman’s FABTECH Ford Ranger won for the fourth time this year in Round 9, finishing ahead of Kincaid. In Round 8, Huseman went to the far outside after the very difficult land-rush start, which knocked him off-line, but he recovered, moving up three positions into second place. Huseman’s 10 career Pro-Lite wins moved him into third all-time. When the dust settled and after Kincaid and Huseman provided a great show, they are tied at 155 points a piece with four rounds remaining in the 2002 CORR Lucas Oil Series. The next two races for Rick is Bark River,Michigan, August tenth and eleventh. Go to www.corrracing.com for TV air times.
FABTECH Motorsports has given Craig and Rick the command to unleash a full on assault on the competition and bring home the Championships. Go to www.fabtechmotorsports.com.
