at the Anaheim Convention Center, August 17 & 18, 2002
Offers Everything for the Motor Sports Enthusiast
Motor sports enthusiasts will roar into Anaheim Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18 for Pep Boys Speed Sports Expo, the largest motor sports enthusiast event in Southern California. The event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Ave, with show hours 9:00 am – 6:00 pm daily.
Pep Boys Speed Sports Expo will feature over 300 exhibits including hot new 4 X 4’s and quads, sand rails, Baja bugs and karts, custom street domestics and imports, trucks, motorcycles, and the latest in boats and personal watercraft.
A demonstration area with free, informative how-to sessions will be presented daily by show sponsor, Pep Boys. Attendees will want to stop by Pep Boys booth to check out the hot new 2003 Honda Civic SI and a vast selection of performance and sports compact parts available for purchase.
A “mind-blowing” display area will feature an assortment of import tuners and off-road vehicles from Hondas, Toyotas and Acuras to sand rails and dune buggies.
Looking for an affordable off-road racing vehicle? Drakarts Inc. will bring the Drakart Formula Cross that offers a powerful 3 cyl Rotax snow mobile motor, 18” of wheel travel, and single or duel seating. The Drakart can take you up to 100 mph and is equipped to tackle the dunes, desert, or short course.
Time to go out on the Dunes? Play-Tech Fabrication will be displaying a variety of sand rails and off-road vehicles priced to fit any size budget. Sand Twister MS will feature variety of Berrien Buggies Frames from knockdown to turnkey.
Put yourself into the driver’s seat of a real racecar. Check out Irwindale Speedway’s Performance Race Training Center and learn about the racing school programs they offer. Students enrolled in this program will drive competitive race machines as they are trained by a qualified staff in their state-of-the-art facility.
Accessory and product selection is endless at Pep Boys Speed Sports Expo. Attendees will also find a huge array of products, including high-performance accessories, custom tires and wheels, fuel, engines, lights and roof racks, tow trailers, roll bar handles, seats and bumpers, shocks and suspension, helmets, racing gear and apparel, tools, plus much more.
For water sports enthusiasts, Rice Honda Sea Doo will be displaying the new Honda 4 stroke personal watercraft. Team IMS Racing will have a selection of XPL Sea Doo, Honda Turbo, and high performance Sea Doo engines and kits.
Long Beach Motor sports will feature the 2003 Suzuki LTZ 400 high- performance quad racer, plus a variety of Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki dirt and street motorcycles.
Pep Boys Speed Sports Expo offers something for kids of all ages. Pacific Pocketbikes will feature tiny motorcycles, Pocketbikes that stand 2 ft tall and 3 ft long that go up to 40 mph. They are fully upgradeable and have Polini engines. Mini Moto XXX will be displaying 4 ft mini choppers that resemble a Harley Davidson and are equipped with big handle bars, wide tires and can go up to 45 mph. Coast Peds will offer the popular Go-Ped electric scooters. Known for their quiet operation, Go-Ped is self-powered and is available in on-road, off-road and competition models.
Gift ideas will range from die-cast collectable cars, eye wear, clothing, and top quality auto cleaners and waxes as well as unique food items.
Attendees can register to win a variety of items including an official Nascar package valued at $500 provided by TNT & AT & T Media, a DVD player valued at $300 provided by TNN & Adelphia Media, Irwindale Speedway 4-packs valued at $60 or Race Training Center’s driving school package valued at $300.
