Here are some pictures of the Trophy Truck we are building for Team Franklin Motorsports. These pictures were taken after most of the chassis was finished. The truck is a traditional front engine with full bulkhead from front to rear 4 link cans. Front arms are full plate design and will be installed on next pictures. Laughlin should be the trucks first SCORE race for 2008. We will keep pictures coming soon.

Looks killer Darren, coming along very nicely. Will be anticipating watching it on the courses. What kind of drivetrain will you be using along with hubs and breaks?

thanks. which shocks are you going to run? seems like most trophy trucks run Kings, but some are running Foxs now as well. the bottom cage of the cab reminds me of the new Porter trophy trucks. they have a similar looking cage. new pics would be great

On this truck we are also running King 4.0" coil overs and bypasses. We have another truck on order and that truck the customer wants to run Fox. No particular reason other than the customer is set up pretty good with Fox.
On our sand cars,pre-runners and race cars we have about a 50 / 50 split on the shocks we run.

Thanks, Darren

darren,

the truck looks super nice. You think you can build a prerunner using similar suspension?

Darren
July 13th, 2007, 14:44
Yes, although this suspension design would require the front and rear of the original chassis to be removed to allow for our lower bulkhead (floor) to be installed. Then we would be able to install front and rear suspension. Also moving motor back. But nothing that hasn't been done already. PM me and we could go over it.

What's the wheelbase on that truck and are you doing the body yourself? Looks good keep posting new pics!

Darren
August 12th, 2007, 09:56
Hey C.J. Good to hear from you. The truck has a 123" wheelbase. We are working with FIBERWERXS using one of there bodies as a starting point and then making some changes so we have our own design. The truck is at exhaust and alum right now when it gets back we will mount the body and start finish assy. I will get some pics up this week . C.J. are you racing Primm? We will be there in a 12 car.

Here are a few pics of the truck when we got the body mocked up on it. We still have some adjusting to do,but for now it's close enough for aluminum work. We have also finished the exhaust since the last set of pictures.

More pics to come. Darren
