16th Annual Mini National Motocross at Barona Oaks Raceway
RAMONA, CA July 23 --The 16th Annual CMMC Mini National Motocross is set for August 31-September 1 at Barona Oaks Raceway. The annual event draws hundreds of riders from all age groups and with a $2000 purse plus 100% payback in each Pro Class expect the best motocrosser’s from all around the Southwest. In addition there will be a very entertaining Sano Racing XR50 4-Stroke event. This will be the biggest 4-stroke event of the year with CMMC, the race host, offering winners $1000 in each XR50 Pro Class. Barona Oaks Raceway, located 5-miles north of the Barona Casino, is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that strives for great family entertainment. The Mini National offers over $40,000 in prizes given out to all the riders at the event. Barona Oaks has been the hottest track in Southern California since opening in 1973. “The Home of Champions” as it is justly called has produced more National caliber racers than any track in the country. Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Johnson, John Hopkins, Michael Graig and Billy Laninovich are a few of Barona Oaks graduates. Come see tomorrow’s heroes at this event.
A camping fee of $15 is set to begin Friday at 10 am August 30th. Parking will be on a first-come basis where an official will guide campers in to maximize parking. No saving of spaces will be allowed. In addition to camping fees a gate fee of $10 per day/$20 per person for the weekend with no one day passes sold for Friday or Saturday. Children under 4 are free.
CMMC Board members are seeking Mini National Sponsorships with packages beginning at $150 with a maximum of $3000 for The Gold Club. Vendors can take advantage of the thousands of racers, family and fans by signing up to display at the Vendor Row.
No Mini National would be complete without the infamous Saturday Night Dinner and entertainment. Games for all ages are offered and a live band allows everyone to dance the night away.
