Hey all, I just wanted to post up some pics of the Champ car that I'm building to see what you guys think.Hoping to have it ready for Caliente but time is against me right now.

Just out of curiosity did you just buy this car? Kinda looks like the old DALCORP car that was recently sitting in Dave Hendrickson's garage for some minor massaging. Again, just curios.

It is in fact Lorenzo's old 1600 car.Dave re did the rear cage and upper cross tubes for me. He did an outstanding job on the chassis.

cool, good luck. what is the story with the front shock mounts?

Champ rules only allow for an 8" travel front shock so rather than cut off the original Lothringer 1600 mounts we moved the mounts 2" lower and plated the tubing.This way,if I ever choose to sell the car it can still be used as a 1600 car without having to build new mounts.It also leaves the original mounts to be used as a light bar mounting point.
