OFF ROAD EXPO SALES CONTINUE AT RECORD PACE
June 10th - Arcadia, CA: Exhibitor sales for Off Road Expo 2002 continue on a record pace as committed spaces have now passed the 80% mark, with many new companies signing up for this year’s show. Scheduled for October 5-6, 2002 at the Pomona Fairplex, Off Road Expo is filling up fast in spite of the increased 30,000 square feet of exhibit space added after last year’s event. “The response from new exhibitors has exceeded our expectations since opening our sales to this group on May first,” said Bob Bower, Director of Marketing for Off Road Expo. “At the rate we are going, I wouldn’t be surprised to see exhibit space sell out by mid-July”.
Previously these new companies may have been somewhat cautious before committing to participation in Off Road Expo, but they are all very enthusiastic about this year’s show. Two years ago, Trail Master Suspension moved their operation from Coldwater, Michigan to Corona, California in an effort to develop their brand in the Southwestern market. “We are well known throughout the Midwest and have distributors around the world”, says Jim Chick, President of Trail Master. “However, our brand is not as recognized in the Southwest and we view Southern California as a key growth market for us. I walked through the show last year looking at the people, the exhibitors and how crowded it was. I was very excited about Off Road Expo 2001 and felt that we needed to be a part of it this year.”
“The Expo is a very well run show”, says Vic Carroll, Sales Director at Advanced Adapters in Paso Robles, CA . “The show is right in the middle of our largest market but last year we were concerned it might be targeted at the wrong audience for our products so we flew down to take a look. We were very impressed by what we saw. We were shocked by the size of the crowd. We quickly realized that this is the ideal event to showcase our products and talk directly to our end users so we can get their feedback on our line of products.
While each company may have their own reasons for deciding to participate in Off Road Expo 2002, the common thread that everyone seems to share is their excitement about the event. Chris Robinson, owner of California SuperTrucks in San Bernardino commented, “I think the Expo is a hell of a show! I was a spectator last year and was particularly impressed with the new generation of ‘grass roots’ enthusiasts who were there to see the latest technology and get products or ideas for their own project vehicles. Our products are sold mostly through distribution channels, but I think we need to be involved in the show to support our dealers and discuss our products with our current and future customers.”
In spite of the fact that the show is filling up fast, there are still a number of good spaces available. Contact Guy Petersen or Bob Bower at 626.599.8622 to arrange for your space before time runs out on your opportunity to be a part of Off Road Expo 2002.
