Hydraulic Bump Stops

Does anyone know how you change the stroke length of a Sway-a-way hydraulic bump stop. Right now they are 4 inches and i want to make them 3 inches.

Make an aluminum spacer for the inside.

There is already a 1" spacer on the shaft, you can purchase another one from SAW, you have to take them apart to install, but that will give you a 3" travel.
