Yes you can cut mirror just like glass. First clean surface, check cutter to insure that there is no dings in the wheel, use straight edge, you can use a lil ATF fluid for lube. When you score the mirror make sure that you do it in one consistant even motion from start to finish. Oh ya and make sure that you do this on a flat smooth surface because if there's any point pressure on the mirror when you go to snap it the cut my run on you. practice, practice, practice.

Regular glass mirror cuts that way, but tempered glass will shatter.

Windshields are not tempered. Their Laminated which means there are two pieces of Annealed or "raw" glass stuck together by a clear membrane. There for you can cut it.

I really don't know, By the way I'm a glass man. What I've seen is the mirror is just thinner than what is used in wall mirrors. Unless your talking about the newer type mirror were it dims when light hits it. Most of the time you may get the run around from glass shopes cuz they don't want to waste the time on one single lil piece. Time is money.

I checked out the mirrors on my bikes, they are the opposite of an enlarging mirror. They are a minimizing mirror I guess. Would anyone happen to know the technical name for that so I can order some?
