Driving suits+embroidery

When embroidering a driving suit, is it neccesary to use a flame retardent thread? Just curious as I was thinking about having my suit done, but don't really want to do it if it could possibly subject me to molten thread buring me. =)

My suit is stitched all over the place. Cotton thread isnt going to kill you any faster than the open flame would. The only thing you MUST avoid is anything synthetic that would melt.
