Is there any where in southern california that has a "show room" for sparco seats? Im interested in buying a set for my truck and want to make sure it fits and is comfortable for the most part. My friend has the pro 2000 seat and its a little tight in the hip area. Im looking at the evo 2 and the deminsions seam only slightly bigger and then the evo 3 deminsions seem way to big. any help?

thanks
Gregg

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

What are you putting them in?

If you're in SoCal, I can get you in a seat to fit check.

Gregg, If I were you I would probably go with the Evo 3

The Evo2 is 1.25" wider than the Evo, and the Evo3 is only 2" wider.

I have the Pro2000 and I am 6'3 185, wear a size 32" pant and it fits just right. But for what its worth, I don't even think that even the Evo3 would be that sloppy on me.

i sat in a pro 2000 matt not bad only at the hips. Im guessing the evo 3 as well but not sure. everyone who has suspension seats have the regular width ones as did I. rode in a firends truck with the bigger sized suspension seat beard offers plus 1.5 i think and it was like a bath tub it was huge.

we will see what happens im not going to buy a seats for a few months just asking questions right now.

For your size you need and EVO 3. The EVO 2 is 1.250 wider than the standard Evo and the Evo 3 is 1.250 wider than the Evo 2 or 2.500 wider than the standard Evo. I sell these seats to guys your size all the time and they all get the Evo 3.

What are the most popular Sparco seats models?
Pro 2000, EVO(1,2,3), what about the Corsa?
I was looking on some road race websits and there is also the "Fighter" for about $525-550.
I like the Corsa but i have not seen them in any offroad trucks.

Great timing for this thread, I'm in the market for a seat and was highly considering buying a Sparco. As a matter of fact I was checking them out @ upr.com....AZ45, what would you recommend for me? I'm 5'11, 210lbs, 36 waist. I guess I could use the chart but I'm lazy so I thought I would ask....lol....guess thats why I'm a 36 waist!?!?

Thanks:D

The Corsa seat is supposed to be their rally seat, I'm not sure why you dont see it around the offroad world as much as the Pro2000 and EVO series. The Fighter is a street seat. Its not FIA-approved, thats why its cheaper.

If your 210lbs and want a snug fit in a race car, you could use a Pro 2000. If it's a pre runner or play car that you'll be getting in and out of, I'd probably go with the EVO 2, or EVO L as it's now called. There are several measurements that you should take into consideration, not just the width when choosing a seat. The seat bottoms front to rear measurement is different on all of the seats. For example, The Pro 2000 is 2" longer in the base than the EVO models, so it gives more support to those with longer legs.

The Corsa is narrower than the other seats mentioned, and a little harder to get in and out of...but offers great support.

The Fighter is a good value and has similar dimensions and look to the Pro 2000.

All seats work better with our seat pad, or custom molded inserts.

The seat section of our Sparco site has dimension charts in the resource area.

If anybody is in the Reno area and wants to sit in a Cobra seat, I have some Fia approved seats here that you can check out and sit in. They are the same seat that is in the Truggy, just Kevlar not the $$ carbon fiber. The Kevlar seats are really really light, that was a big selling point for me. We are using them on a pre runner, and for a Trophy Truck project and a class 7 Toyota project. We have the regular and the wider size if you wanted to try both.

Something I noticed is that you can get a Sparco in more of the larger sizes than you can get a Cobra. I think if you are over mabye 230lbs, you would want to get the Sparco. I like the Cobra for more of the 140ish to 200lb area.

The PRO 2000 would be what I would reccomend if you're not heavier than 210. You're at the upper end of the sizing for the seat width, but it has the longest bottom length to accomidate a tall guy legs.

For your size I would use an Evo 2 or 3. I just raced in our new Stock Full Tundra with Evo 2's they are awesome for sure. No problems at all in the comfort dept. They also hold you in side to side very well.

Come by the shop and sit in our race truck with EVO2's and see how they feel! We also have Evo3's in stock...

Just to chime in...

I ran about 350 miles of the southern section with new Sparcos in my prerunner. I am from the old school and always used Taylors. I can tell you that I am very happy with the Sparcos. I was a little concerned about the big whoops and G outs. The section from San Carlos south, with the 26 miles of whoops, proved to me that the seats are very good for the modern era race vehicles, with great working suspensions.

I am 6'1 and 210 with a 36 waist and theres no way in hell I can fit into a Pro2000 model. I just ordered some Evo3's for the new truck. I ran Evo2's in the Robby truck, but it still rubbed on my hips too much to be 100% comfortable. FYI!
