Anyone have any info on seats for little kids. I'm looking for something that would fit into a suspension type seat booster style. I've seen a few in some buggies in the sand dunes and would like to get any feedback/experiance you've had from the better vendors. BTW my kid is 2 about 33" tall and around 25 lbs.

Thanks,
Mark

I always ask this in threads like this but never get an answer.

How fast are you driving off-road with your 2 year old? Personally, I don't think it should be much more than putting around.

Will a regular child seat not fit in the seat in the buggy? It seems to me like that would be the safest as long as it's secured properly.

I am ordering a infant seat from PRP. It fits 1 to 4 year olds, they also have a seat for 4 to 12 year olds. I plan on mounting in place of one of the rear seats on the weekend the grandson is going with us.

Naturally one shouldn't go nuts with small children in the car. I removed one of the rear seats and attached a regular car seat to the frame and it's pretty hokey, but it worked. Car seats do not fit in suspension seats well at all. I'm looking for a more secure/safer approach here.

PBR did a thread a little while ago on kids seats for pre-runners:

great job on wanting to take the kid out to play! my son(4) has been going sideway his whole life. we've gone pretty fast with just a child car seat. it's just too bad all the sanction bodies i've looked into say no to kids under 12 during a race, hot lap, ect...

and for the record we got was the simpson seat from summit and it turned out to be a regular 'graco' seat that you can get ant any walmart. it has 3 (three) 'simpson' patches on the seat and even the box was 'graco'.

what i have been doing is strapping a regular kids car seat into my beard with the 3" lap belt and then a ratchet tie down to snug it up and my kid is strapped in with the belts built into the kids seat. i haven't prerun with him yet but that's what we do when i take him to school in the prerunner, and boy does he love it!!!

juan b said that he was going to get some pics of jake johnson's buggy but he is a very busy man, but i would still like to see some pics of what he did.
